Washington Oaks was a BIG place! Took us a while to get through it all.
Crystal brought her kids Paige and Liam who were troopers in knocking on all the doors.
Always fun seeing the responses we get when someone opens the door. We even got invited in to a party with some "libations" 😂
Thank you to Jennifer for walking us around to deliver.
Toni & her daughter Racheal came to help out and Racheal handed out the cards she made herself.
Cyndy, Corie,Terra and I made it through the last place and got everyone their bags.
It was a great yr! 💜

Stopped at St Thaddeus Care Home in Lake Stevens and visited 5 ladies there. They were all really sweet and a few of them really loved what they got in their bags. The headbands, glasses and rings are a big hit always! 😁

On our 2nd day of deliveries we had a lot of helpers! The seniors love seeing the little ones so we had them participating in handing out the gift bags.
Thank you Lona Crouse, Stephanie Seid, and Crystal Swinton for bringing your little ones by. 🩷

The Senior Gift Giving has gotten so big that I've had to outsource help to deliver and I love seeing people take it on. Connie Suzanne Scott delivered some bags for me last yr and did the same again for me with Kathi Cooper at the Snohomish Senior Center this yr.
Thank you ladies!! 😊

764 BAGS!
That's how many gift bags we were able to put together with everyone's help for the Valentines Senior Charity!
When I tell people that I'm working on my Valentine's charity and how it takes up so much of my time in Jan & Feb, they never really understand what all goes into it. How are you that busy???
The constant communication with 100's of people, ordering, shopping, sorting, organizing, picking stuff up, etc. I feel like a broken record talking about it, but it really does take up so much of my time.
The only way to really know how much work it is, is to be involved yourself.
After the last week especially, I felt like a walking zombie yesterday. Minimal sleep for days and sore from lots of hard work. And I couldn't have done it without my helpers. Especially Corie Moonen, Cyndy Mohney & Dusty Cooper. Cyndy and Corie took a couple days off work to help out on a fun project and didnt know the hard work they were about to get into. LoL Dusty came and helped make bags and shopped for stuff we were short on because she was determined to make sure we had a bag for everyone!
This was a TEAM effort and sooo many people were involved. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this is a joint effort and not just my event. We're well past me just bringing a flower and a card to a place 9 urs ago. We're bringing hundreds of people joy and we get a lot back from them as well. All day everyone is smiling and laughing.
I have way too many people to tag and thank that have either donated money, items or made cards, helped put bags together or helped deliver.
Just want to say a
BIG THANK YOU!‼️😁
P.S. Oh and next yr there will be wine involved when making the bags 😂

3rd stop of the day was to Fieldstone Memory Care. They had people there singing and with their sound system it sounded like a full on concert. lol
Mrs Sassy Pants Alice, helped us out with deliveries today and made it her personal mission to hand all the men their bags. She was scoping out the prospects 😉🤣
Thanks Margarita for calling us to come visit. 💜

The senior centers are one of my favorites to deliver to. Seeing them open their gifts is always a highlight. Lots of smiles around while they try on their glasses, examine their gifts and try on their glow in the dark rings lol
