Juneteenth is the oldest national celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States, also known as Freedom Day. Our offices are closed today as we honor Juneteenth at LCS Northwest. We also take time out to acknowledge a long history of American racial injustice.

This Memorial Day we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country and to their families. Our offices will be closed on Monday, May 26th in honor of Memorial Day.

Jacqueline Bengtson, our Family Care Coordinator for our Refugees Northwest Foster Care, Lutheran Community Services NW program, attended the MAPS Fall Festival last weekend. She had a great time doing outreach for foster homes and supporting our Unaccompanied Refugee Minors (URM) program.
