What happens when the tools someone depends on for their livelihood are suddenly gone?

For many farmers recovering from the historic winter floods, the loss wasn’t only about damaged equipment. It meant lost time, disrupted work, and income put at risk for the season ahead.

But thanks to this incredible community, many farmers have begun the work of rebuilding and recovery.

Through the Farm Fund, community support is helping farmers replace and restore what they need to keep going: tractor down payments, rototillers, wheelbarrows, t-posts, irrigation systems, greenhouses, and hard-to-source harvesting tools.

One farmer, whose tractor was destroyed in the flood, shared:

“A new tractor will allow us to continue farming for as long as we are physically able to farm. It allows us to care for the soil that grows the products that keep our business going. Without a tractor, it is nearly impossible to farm.”

That’s what recovery means in practical terms: restoring the ability to work, earn a living, care for the land, and prepare for the seasons ahead.
