Leaders are made, not born. http://uwleaders.asuw.org/ UW Leaders is a leadership development program for undergraduates at the University of Washington.

Open to freshman, sophomores and transfer juniors we strive to enrich leadership experience by providing community, establishing relationship with experienced mentors and providing weekly leadership workshops ranging from topics such as failure, to personality and how to work with others. The 2021-2022 UW Leaders Application is now live! UWL is a peer mentorship and leadership development program for first, second, and transfer third-year students at the University of Washington. Members of our cohort join a close-knit, diverse, and empowering community designed to help them maximize their potential and explore their interests.

Our program has three main components: workshops, mentor pairings, and a Leadership Practice. Our leaders attend weekly workshops that cover a variety of topics, including resilience, resumes and interviews, personal finance, and more. Each participant is paired with one of our 20 mentors, who provide personal and professional guidance for anything they may need. Our mentors come from a variety of backgrounds and majors, and have a wide scope of professional ambitions. Lastly, leaders have the opportunity to develop a passion project, or Leadership Practice, that allows them to build professional competencies while giving back to the community.

Come join us! Apply by Tuesday, November 2nd to be considered for one of the top leadership development programs on campus. Students from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. More information, including the application, can be found on our website: http://uwleaders.asuw.org.

We’re looking for three students who want to help us develop our alumni network, leadership forums, and program marketing. Joining our team as an intern is a great way to engage with our program, build skills, and help develop leadership on campus. ASUW internships are volunteer positions that require a commitment of 3-5 hours per week.
