Had the pleasure of speaking at the SDOT Youth Transportation Summit on Saturday. It was inspiring to see so many young people interested in transit, and it was so much fun talking about what our city is doing to ensure it’s safe and accessible for everyone!

Last Sunday, two drivers were tragically killed in a wrong way head on collision. That’s why I’m calling for an audit of Seattle’s Vision Zero program, an initiative that seeks to end traffic fatalities and injuries to zero by 2030.

As chair of the STEPS committee, traffic safety is my number one priority. And I’m doing what I can to ensure the safety of all of those in Seattle.

As chair of the STEPS Committee, safety is my number one priority. After hearing about the tragic deaths this past Sunday, it’s pertinent we hold an audit of the Vision Zero program to ensure that the City is meeting its goals of zero fatalities and injuries by 2030.

We will be holding a more in depth conversation on Thursday, April 16th at 9:30 am at City Hall.
