General information
Leaders in Washington’s child welfare arena head the initiative as co-chairs of two work groups. Each work group is comprised of child welfare experts and professionals with a broad range of expertise who are volunteering their time.
The two groups work in lock-step to ensure that communications efforts match the capacity of the state agencies and child welfare organizations who serve children in foster care and foster families. The Communications Work Group strives to increase the engagement of the public in caring for children who need out-of-home care. And correspondingly, the Capacity Work Group strives to ensure that state government and child welfare organizations can anticipate and prepare to serve that increased engagement level.
