La I-001 es peligrosa para les niñes. Elimina protecciones basadas en el sentido común para las víctimas de abuso infantil, expone a les jóvenes LGBTQ+ a un mayor riesgo y podría retrasar la llegada de ayuda si un/a menor es víctima de un delito en la escuela.

I-001 is dangerous for kids. It removes common sense protections for child abuse victims, puts LGBTQ+ youth at greater risk, and could delay help if a child is the victim of a crime at school.

Take a stand against hate. Vote NO on I-001 and I-638.

El 15 de octubre marca el cierre del Mes de la Herencia Hispana/Latinx, y es también el Día de Concientización sobre el VIH/SIDA en la comunidad Latinx. Es importante señalar que, si bien durante un mes ponemos de relieve nuestra Latinidad, debemos seguir sintiéndonos orgulloses de quiénes somos y celebrar nuestra cultura todos los días del año. Del mismo modo, abracemos nuestra interseccionalidad y celebremos también nuestra identidad LGBT+.

Unides —como diversas comunidades que conforman una sola familia, aumentemos la concientización sobre el VIH/SIDA, combatamos el estigma, sigamos compartiendo nuestras historias, y brindemos apoyo a les miembres de nuestra propia comunidad.

October 15th marks the end of Hispanic/Latinx Heritage month, and it is also Latinx HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. It is important to note that while we bring light to our Latinidad for a month, that we continue being proud of who we are and celebrate our culture every day of the year. In the same manner, let’s embrace our intersectionality and also celebrate our Queerness.

Together, different communities, and yet one family, let’s increase our awareness about HIV/AIDS, fight the stigma, continue sharing our stories and support and advocate for our own community members.
