It is with a sad heart that we learn of the passing of author and New York fireman Dennis Smith. His writings during the war years in FDNY are nothing short of amazing. You know you’re all read Report From Engine Co.82. Rest easy brother.

Today’s list of rigs that are out of service. Your protection and response isn’t there today. Be safe everyone.

A sad Christmas indeed. A83 taking the place of Engine 13 today. Yes, there is no engine responding out of Station 13. Only Battalion 5 and A83. At 20:00 hrs tonight, A83 will also be placed out of service leaving no aid whatsoever out of 13’s. Tragic. Poor policies surrounding ineffective mandates have come to this. Everyone be safe.

I have been off the grid for a while and not in a writing mood. My 22 years with Seattle Fire may be over with sooner than later unless something changes in the very near future. I am a “vaccine free” person, and not welcome in our Dept anymore. I am not going to get into the debate on the efficacy of this shot, as we could all find research supporting our own claims. What I will say is this, I never thought I would be facing such anti-freedom tyranny under the false guise of “protection.” There is no protection in this vaccination. In 3 days, the SFD had 29 vaccinated members positive with COVID. And yet they chose to toss aside those who valued freedom of choice or religion over this false hope of protection. Below is a list of units out of service and engines OS and replaced with aid cars for the shift. This is tragic beyond words and most definitely WILL impact public safety. But don’t you worry, all those unvaxed Firefighters are gone and you are safe from COVID….or are you?

Value freedom my friends. 👍🏻🇺🇸 It is one of the few things we have left.
