A grassroots, multi-partisan, volunteer-run, membership organization dedicated to increasing women's participation in the political process and getting more feminist women elected and appointed in Washington State. The NWPC is a national organization that was founded in 1971 and has chapters in 20+ states. Our key criteria for candidate support is a commitment to women's social and economic equality, and reproductive freedom.

Filing week is this week, and you don’t need to file for office by Thursday…you can also file to run to be a precinct committee officer!

It is a great way for people to get started in politics

Being a PCO is the easiest and most direct way to improve your community and affect local change.

Many precinct positions are open seats and candidates run unopposed.

Qualifications:

- Be a U.S. Citizen or registered voter
- Be 18 years-old by August 4, 2026
- Be a resident of the precinct you wish to serve

Steps to File at King County Elections:

- Review voter registration online at: https://info.kingcounty.gov/kcelections/vote/myvoterinfo.aspx

- Find your neighborhood precinct number at: https://kingcounty.gov/en/legacy/depts/elections/elections/maps/find-my-districts

- File as a candidate at: https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/elections/for-candidates/online-pco-filing

- Enter your registered voter name as it will appear in the Voter’s Pamphlet
