2024 Washington State Legislative Recap - WTIA Washington state recently concluded a 60-day legislative session, prioritizing housing affordability, public safety, and artificial intelligence (AI).

The WTIA Advanced Technology Cluster had a great Emerging Tech Test Drive at the Washington state capitol in Olympia yesterday! It was a great chance to speak with legislators and staff about the real-world applications for AI, Web3, and quantum computing. Thank you to our participating members and to the Technology Alliance for partnering on this event with us.

Shout out to John Suk from our partner in providing business services, Portalus for testifying at the this week on retirement account legislation, providing information on the proposal's impacts to pooled employer plans like ours!

ICYMI: Our VP of Government and Community Affairs, Kelly Fukai, testified on a Washington state legislative proposal to establish an AI task force.
