Our final PTA General Meeting of the year is tomorrow, June 3rd at 6:30pm on Zoom. We’ll be having a detailed discussion of the ‘26-’27 Budget Proposal, and introducing our slate of Executive Board nomination.

Volunteers Needed for Field Day – June 12th!

The end of school is near and that means that Field Day is almost here, and we need your help to make it a fun and memorable day for our students! We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist with games, activities, setup, and cleanup on Friday, June 12th.
3rd-5th Grade Volunteers: 7:30-10:30am

Kinder-2nd Grade Volunteers: 12:00-1:30pm

This event requires a lot of volunteers to be successful, your time and energy will make a huge difference. No experience necessary—just a willingness to have fun and help out!

A huge thanks to our friends and our helpful leopards for all their good work Friday! There was a lot of trash picked up and lots of overgrowth trimmed back. The playground is looking good!!

The Pacific Science Center is coming to Lafayette on Wednesday, May 20 for a “Physics on Wheels” presentation! Students in all classes will get to experience hands-on science activities in the gym throughout the day.

We are looking for a few volunteers to help facilitate the program during the day, as well as a few volunteers to assist the science center team with packing up at the end of the event.

Volunteers must be SPS volunteer approved. Thank you for helping make this a fun and engaging day for our students!

Let’s hang out! The school year is coming to a close and we’d love to close it out with all of you! We’ll bring out some bubbles, chalk, and tunes and enjoy this great community. On Friday, May 29th we’ll be joined by our friends at A Cleaner Alki to tidy up our playground before we leave for the summer. Some tools will be provided, we may ask you to bring some (if you have them) as we get closer, work gloves encouraged!

(These hangs are weather dependent, but cleaning up will happen rain or shine!)

Lafayette’s End of Year Concerts are almost here. The concerts will be led by Mr. Payne in the Lafayette Cafeteria. Save the date! Please arrive 10 minutes early.
