Sign-ups are open for this summer's Young Writers Workshop!

If you’re ages 16–21 and ready to learn how to write with style and power, reserve your spot today.

At the end, you can:
👉 Earn high school credit
👉 Receive a $400 stipend
👉 Build confidence and communication skills

Mark your calendars for this summer’s Peace N The Hood basketball tournament and job fair

🗓️ Wednesday, June 3rd
🕒 Job Fair: 3 pm - 5 pm
🏀 Basketball: 4 pm - 6 pm
📍 Steve Cox Memorial Park

There’ll be food, prizes, free merch, ice cream, a live DJ, community resources, and good energy all around.

Come sign up for the tourney or just come out and show support and love to the community. Everybody is welcome.

👉 Young Writers Workshop sign-ups are officially open for aspiring writers ages 16 to 21!

And for the first time in years, students who complete the workshop can receive up to $400 in stipends.

We’re growing our Case Management team with multiple positions open!

We’re currently hiring for:

• Case Manager
• Case Management Outreach Specialist
• Violence Intervention Case Manager
• Violence Intervention Counselor (part-time)

Each role varies in scope and responsibilities, but all require someone who can work with youth with both confidence and compassion.

We’re beyond excited to officially open the Hope, Unity, and Belonging building (the HUB) with a two-day Ribbon Cutting celebration alongside WCCDA + the HUB Team! 🎀🏡 Saturday, January 24th will be the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Sunday, January 25th will be more family-oriented with activities.

Come explore the space, enjoy delicious local food, connect with our HUB tenants, experience the Rooted in White Center docuseries, and bring the whole family for kid-friendly fun. This moment is made possible by our funders, partners, community champions, and the many voices of CDA past—this space belongs to all of us.
