Seattle Parks and Recreation Lifelong Recreation offers a wide range of fitness and social programs for people 50 and better that change each season. Programs are offered at each of Seattle's 26 community centers and other facilities.

Join us at Seven Hills Park to Move, Breathe, and Heal. Together. We're hosting a free community wellness event open to all ages, abilities, and experience levels.

The event includes a guided morning walk, a facilitated healing circle, and a guided midday walk. Join for one activity or stay for the full experience.

From sports and yoga to arts, pottery, outdoor adventures, and family programs, there’s something for everyone this summer.

Walking Soccer is coming to Seattle! Seattle Parks and Recreation’s Lifelong Recreation Program (50+) is partnering with Big Foot Walking Soccer to offer two Walking Soccer clinics this May at Magnuson Park. This is a fun social activity to participate in to stay active or try something new!

We are seeking adults 50+ who want to learn more about riding public transportation. In partnership with SDOT and Hopelink we are offering a FREE Public Transit Adventure that will include instruction on how to use public transportation and Orca Cards. As a group take the bus to the Smith Tower to practice using the bus together. Space is limited to 15 people.

Two new FREE fitness classes for ages 50+ are coming to SE Seattle! Check out Fitness with Erika at Jefferson Community Center and Van Asselt Community Center, starting this week! These classes are great for beginners and anyone looking to start exercising more regularly, as well as those seeking more challenge, as it offers lots of modifications and no judgment. You'll do exercises at circuit training-based stations to work on cardio, range of motion, strength, and balance. Classes start this week and you can join any time - sign up for one or both! The 2025 Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) enrollment is now open!
This one-time benefit provides low-income seniors with an $80 card to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at participating farmers markets in King County.
✅ Who’s Eligible?
* 60 years or older (Native American/Alaska Native: 55+) by June 15, 2025
* King County resident
* Low-Income (details in the link)
📅 When Can You Apply?
April 7 – May 9, 2025
📌 You can apply in two ways:
a) Complete the online application: AgingKingCounty.org/SFMNP
b) Paper application and information is available in 14 languages. Download and mail your application by May 9. (visit link above)
