On 5/23, we celebrated the grand opening of in Japantown - a Viet-American community bake shop built by Vince Vu.

๐ŸŽ‰ Alongside his own quarter-pound Vietnamese American cookies, the Anh ฦ i Bake Shop features a rotating collection of local AAPI bakers, resident coffee from , and a space designed for connection, experimentation, and community.

Support for Vuโ€™s build out came from , which helps place local artists and entrepreneurs in vacant downtown storefronts. Through their pop-up program, the organization assists the financial lift of opening a storefront with free, short-term placements, in addition to other support.

Bring your favorite dish and join the community at International District Chinatown Community Centerโ€™s Friday Family Dinner series with Seattle Department of Education and Early Learning.

The next events will be held on June 5 and June 26 and will include a youth cooking class from 4:30-6:30 PM, followed by a community dinner at 7 PM for everyone to enjoy!

Produced by CIDBIA and presented by the Seattle Kraken, this annual community tradition brings 200+ volunteers together to care for Chinatown, Japantown, and Little Saigon.

Since 1999, Spring Clean has been a day of unity, pride, and transformation for the CID. We're grateful to everyone who has shown up year after year to give back to the neighborhood. ๐Ÿ’š

Earlier this year, CIDBIA invited local artists to create original designs that celebrate the culture, community, and spirit of the Chinatown-International District.

After receiving an incredible response of more than 100 entries, counting up votes from the general public, and consulting with neighborhood businesses, residents, and community organizers - CIDBIA and SDOT are excited to announce the winners of the CID Street Pole Banner Design Contest:
