🌟 I can never thank you enough for your support.
I will always be grateful to the many wonderful people I met on the campaign trail who gave their all to this campaign.
Everyone who helped had one goal in mind, to make Seattle a better place for everyone who lives here. For many, it was the first time they had involved themselves in the political process beyond voting.
While losing this election was disappointing, I want you to know I tried my best. I got by on very little sleep and put all my energy into winning, in the hopes of getting Seattle back on course.
If you are concerned about Seattle's future direction, please call or text me on my personal cell phone: 🤳(206)383-3384. Some of you have already expressed interest in next steps. Your input, ideas and participation would be greatly appreciated. We want a better way for the residents and neighborhoods of Seattle to have a stronger voice.
My very best wishes to all of you with my deepest gratitude, Pat

🗣”I know Seattle can do much better. We can do better for our economically distressed homeless. We can do better in providing treatment and housing for those suffering from drug addiction or mental health issues and living on our streets. We can do better with a more thoughtful growth management plan that includes a vision for the future, by listening to renters, homeowners, and small businesses owners.
By working together I know we can create and retain living-wage jobs in Seattle. And, we can make sure essential departments like fire and police are adequately staffed and funded.
I want to restore your voice on the Seattle City Council.
Please help me put my practical progressive values to work for you on the Seattle City Council.
We can do better...together.”
Sincerely,
Pat Murakami

When elected, I will responsibly monitor how your tax dollars are spent. I will stop the misuse of public funds. EXAMPLE: The Sugar Tax generated a surplus of $5.7 million.
How can that be? First, the Fresh Bucks vouchers were for $60/month. They are now reduced to $40/month. Despite the huge surplus of funds, which was improperly diverted to the General Fund, no one is allowed to apply for Fresh Bucks at this time.
The Fresh Bucks website has the following message (see photo): "Thank you for your interest in Fresh Bucks. We have enrolled the maximum number of applicants to the program and to the waitlist. The application is now closed."
Our current City Council is irresponsible. No other candidate for District 3 was aware of this abuse of public trust until I enlightened them during a candidates' forum last night.
I will move the Sugar Tax funds back into the Fresh Bucks program and use any surplus to support our local food banks and early childhood programs. I will be transparent and responsible and committed to auditing the entire City Budget.

🌟I need you now more than ever.
With so many of you saying you want to help me earn a spot on the Seattle City Council, I am now asking for your help. I need you to spare some time to help me reach voters in the last few days of this race.
I believe I am the only candidate who can win this seat in the general election. But I cannot do that if I do not make it through the primary. Only you can help.
Here is how you can help me spread the word on voting for the right candidate:
✔️Pick up a yard sign for your yard and take a few for the streets around you. Helping me get the message out is the most important thing we can do now.
✔️Invite your neighbors to “like” my page and share my page on your personal page.
🗣Use your voice to help us reach our voters.
