⚓ With their anchors pinned, their leadership begins.
Last week, Reserve Talent Acquisition Group Northwest, spanning three states across the Pacific Northwest, welcomed its newest Chief Petty Officers during a ceremony recognizing not only a major career milestone, but the responsibility that comes with it.

Please join us in congratulating Chief Joshua Beckham, representing Colorado; Chief Trevor Swanson, representing Washington; and Chief Evon Perez, representing Chicago, as they step into the role of Chief Petty Officer and embrace the leadership, mentorship, and responsibility that come with wearing the anchors.

These new Chiefs were honored to be pinned by their family, friends, and mentors within the Navy Recruiting community who have supported and guided them throughout their journey. Their presence served as a meaningful reminder that reaching this milestone is never a journey taken alone.

Chiefs are the leaders Sailors turn to for guidance, technical expertise, and a steady standard when the work is demanding.
Their leadership will help strengthen our Sailors and support the mission of keeping the U.S. Navy and U.S. Navy Reserve !

Congratulations to our newest Chiefs, and welcome to the Mess! ⚓

Think you have what it takes to become a Navy SEAL?

This weekend at the Seattle Spartan Race, our Navy Special Warfare coordinator will be on scene challenging Spartans, answering questions and helping you learn more about the Navy SEAL program and other Warrior Challenge opportunities.

Navy SEALs train to operate in demanding maritime, land and air environments where physical toughness, mental resilience, teamwork and technical skill are essential.

If you’re already testing yourself on the Spartan course, come find the Navy team and see how you stack up. Take on the challenge, talk with our Special Warfare coordinator and learn what it takes to pursue one of the Navy’s most demanding career paths.

We’ll be there all weekend with Navy recruiters, Future Sailors and the Special Warfare team.

NAVY OFFICERS — DEADLINE: APRIL 1, 2027

Did you leave the Navy during COVID because of the vaccine mandate?

Whether you were involuntarily separated or voluntarily left, there may still be a path back.

Under updated Department of the Navy guidance, eligible former Service Members may have an expedited opportunity to return.

Potential benefits may include a 2-year service commitment, the opportunity to return to the Navy Reserve with potential restoration of retirement credit, and a 2-year mobilization deferment for qualifying Reserve returnees.

Depending on your individual circumstances and any BCNR determination, there may also be potential restoration of lost service time, benefits, pay, rank, and advancement opportunities.

More than 100 COVID-era returnees reportedly regained their careers in FY26.

DEADLINE: APRIL 1, 2027

If you're wondering whether you're eligible, don't assume the door is closed. Get your record reviewed and find out what options may be available to you.

Five Sailors. One defining moment. A new chapter of leadership begins.

Five Sailors from Navy Talent Acquisition Group Pacific Northwest and Reserve Talent Acquisition Group Northwest were pinned as Chief Petty Officers during a ceremony in the greater Seattle area.

Earning the anchors marks more than a promotion. It represents increased trust, greater responsibility and a commitment to lead, mentor and develop the Sailors who will follow.

Congratulations to our newest Chiefs, their families and the Chiefs Messes who helped prepare them for this moment.

Welcome to the Mess. Hooyah, Chiefs!

Where mountains meet the sea, the mission continues. Your next watch starts in the Navy Reserve.

If you’ve served before, whether in the Navy or another branch, your experience and leadership still matter. The Navy Reserve offers a way to continue serving while balancing your civilian career, family, and personal goals.

If you’ve been thinking about putting the uniform back on or you’re simply curious about what opportunities are available, I’d be happy to talk. There’s no pressure—just an opportunity to get your questions answered and see if it’s the right fit for you.

Feel free to reach out to me anytime.
