The Hopi Emergency Response Team (HERT) is sharing a weather outlook for Friday (10/30) through Sunday (11/01), with heavy rain expected Sunday (11/01) into Monday (11/02) morning.

⚠️ **Stay safe:**
• Avoid flooded roads.
• Stay away from fallen power lines.
• Keep an emergency kit ready.
• Move to higher ground if advised.

We want to show our support for local band Icy Whisper and their upcoming benefit show to help families on the Hopi and Navajo Reservations who were severely impacted by last Thursday’s flooding.

Join Icy Whisper, Mega & Friends, and other featured performers on Wednesday, November 4th, at Monte V in Flagstaff for a night of music, community, and giving back. 🎸🖤

The benefit is collecting donations to help Hopi and Diné families affected by the flooding. Needed items include:
💧 Water and water filters
🥫 Nonperishable food
🧥 Blankets, jackets, and sleeping bags
🔦 Flashlights and batteries
🧦 New socks and underwear
🍼 Diapers, baby food, formula, and wipes
🐾 Pet food
…and other essential supplies.

💵 Suggested donation: $5–$20 (N.I.T.A.F.L.O.F.)

With more weather expected this weekend, they’ll discuss community preparedness, available resources and assistance, and important safety precautions for potential flooding and road impacts.

They'll also discuss HERT’s ongoing coordination with villages, plans for the upcoming weather, and how the team will continue assisting communities as needs arise.
