The United States Supreme Court has made a ruling and Pettis County will stay in the 4th Congressional District.

Because of this, please be advised that the candidates on the November ballot are different than the candidates that were on the August ballot.

Absentee Voting Begins Today!

Yesterday evening a federal court ordered Missouri to use the 2025 Congressional Map putting Pettis County back in the 5th US Representative District. Previously, the Missouri Supreme Court and the Missouri Secretary of State ordered all counties in Missouri to set up this election with 2022 Congressional Map placing Pettis County in the 4th US Representive District.

Pending an appeal to the US Supreme Court I would like to suggest that voters hold off on absentee voting, if possible. Once a ballot has been cast, another one may not be issued. That is the law. As soon as more information is available we will know how to move forward.

🗳 NOVEMBER 3, 2026 GENERAL ELECTION UPDATE 🗳

With the November General Election quickly approaching, we now have clarification regarding the congressional districts that will be used for the upcoming election.

Yesterday afternoon, our office received guidance from the Missouri Secretary of State’s Elections Division directing local election authorities to use the 2022 congressional map for the November 3, 2026 General Election. This direction follows the United States Supreme Court’s stay and the Missouri Supreme Court order currently in effect.

Pettis County voters will therefore vote under Congressional District 4, which aligns with the 2022 map.

We have now updated our November General Election information to include the applicable congressional candidates, along with county and state offices, statewide ballot questions, and judicial retention questions.

As always, our office will continue to follow guidance and court orders as they are issued and will provide voters with updated information as it becomes available.
