🎃👻 Spooky season is making a SPLASH at the Heckart Community Center! 💦

We've been having a spook-tacular time at the pool! We kicked off the Halloween fun with our annual Pumpkin Splash, followed by a little Hocus Pocus magic with an indoor movie night in the pool! 🧙‍♀️🍿

From floating pumpkins to floating moviegoers, we've been soaking up all the spooky fun!

Please see the attached news release regarding the Sedalia Park Board's unanimous decision on October 8, 2026, to terminate its Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Paul Klover Soccer Association (PKSA), effective December 31, 2026.

The decision follows more than nine months of communication, extended deadlines, and opportunities to fulfill outstanding agreement requirements. Beginning January 1, 2027, PKSA may continue utilizing Sedalia Parks & Recreation facilities at standard rental rates. The department remains committed to ensuring youth soccer opportunities continue in our community.

Our super sleuths put their detective skills to the test, following clues, searching high and low, and tracking down the mysterious creature himself!

And wouldn’t you know it… they found Bigfoot lurking at Clover Dell! 👀

Registration is open for our Winter Adult Volleyball League at the Heckart Community Center! Grab your teammates and get ready for plenty of court time after the holidays.

We offer Women’s Recreation, Women’s Intermediate, Co-Ed Recreation, and Co-Ed Intermediate leagues for ages 16+.

League begins January 5
Early registration: $160 per team through November 22
Open registration: $180 per team through December 20

All aboard for a Halloween ride through Liberty Park! 🎃 The Spooky Express rolls in on October 29, bringing plenty of Halloween fun for riders of all ages.

Lifeguard Launchpad is designed to help future lifeguards get comfortable with the skills they’ll need before taking the full certification course. You’ll work with our Lifeguard Instructors on the swim test and other important lifeguarding skills, giving you a chance to practice before class begins.
