These additions allowed AmeriCare to grow with the needs of the residents of Hillsborough County.
Founded in 1996, AmeriCare Ambulance is a full service transportation provider committed to delivering complete solutions including emergency, non-emergency, non-medical, community event safety services, and critical medical services. AmeriCare began its Basic Life Support (BLS) service and since its inception has opened up two additional divisions, Advance Life Support (ALS) and Non-Medical Servi
ces (Handicab and Non-Medical Stretcher). Along with the expansion of those two divisions, AmeriCare now employs over 250 team members and has expanded our fleet to 52 units which include:
7 Advance Life Support Ambulances – Equipped with Intensive Care ZOLL EMV+ Ventilators, 3 Channel Alaris Med Sys III IVPumps, ZOLL X Series Monitors and Stryker’s state of the art “Power Load System”. These units are also set up for Neonatal and “Super Bariatric” patients over 750lbs transports.
33 Basic Life Support Ambulances – With all the required (BLS) equipment, these units are also set up with Stryker’s Power Stretcher and Morrison Soft Stretcher’s that aid in the smooth transportation from origin to destination.
12 Non-Medical Stretcher and Wheelchair Vans – Servicing patients with all non-medical transport services, including Baker Act transports. Along with our mission to provide the highest level of patient care through higher standards of professionalism and performance, AmeriCare provides the most appropriate mode of transportation with competitive scheduling and rates. Our highly trained and expert staff ensure the highest level of care and understanding – no matter the situation.
