HOT LOAD ON I-94: FRENCH-FRY TRAILER ERUPTS WEST OF BELFIELD
📍 I-94 WESTBOUND | EXIT 36 TO MILE MARKER 34 | NORTH DAKOTA
A semi-trailer loaded with French fries caught fire Tuesday morning, forcing authorities to close westbound I-94 west of Belfield.
North Dakota Highway Patrol issued the initial closure at 9:45 a.m. At 10:02 a.m., officials reported that the right lane would remain closed for several hours while crews handled the cleanup.
The fire was reported near mile marker 34, roughly two miles west of the Fryburg exit.
No injuries have been announced. Authorities have not identified the driver, carrier or cause of the fire.
That means no fake mechanical diagnosis, no invented driver blame and no recycled photographs from another state.
What is confirmed: emergency and recovery crews are working beside live interstate traffic. Slow down, move over and give them room to finish the job.
