TODAY is the last chance to vote early at the Pima County Votemobile in Sells! Stop by the Tohono Plaza today from 10am to 3pm to cast your early ballot (I.D. required). Remember, our Vote is our Voice!

Photos are from the Votemobile’s ribbon-cutting event last March in Tohono Plaza, which featured Vice Chairwoman Carla Johnson, leaders from the Nation and Sells District, Pima County Recorder Gabriella Cázares-Kelly, and Pima County Supervisor Jen Allen. A revenue sharing grant from the Nation helped fund the mobile voting location.

🕯️On the day of her passing, Chairman Jose and Vice Chairwoman Johnson were honored to attend a candlelight vigil celebrating the extraordinary life and legacy of Dolores Huerta, in Tucson.

May her memory and lifelong dedication to justice and equality continue to inspire us all to lead with passion, stand up for what is right, and persevere even when the road gets challenging.

As Dolores reminds us: ¡Sí, se puede! (Yes, we can!)
Her legacy lives on through the work we continue to do every day. ❤️

Today is the last day to submit a public comment to DHS about their plans to build a destructive, ineffective border wall on our lands. While DHS claims it is dedicated to meaningful tribal consultation, their actions make clear they are politically motivated and have undermined our longtime working relationships. Regardless, public comments are entered into the federal record and are important in our fight.

The Nation extends our deepest gratitude to all those who submitted a comment against the political stunt that is the border wall. We appreciate all our allies and will continue to fight together to stop this atrocity.

If you would like to submit a comment before today’s deadline, DHS will accept them until midnight tonight via email at [email protected].

Emailed comments should include the subject line "Tucson Sector Border Barrier System Construction."

Comments may also be submitted to CBP by calling (833) 412-2056.

DHS offers these guidelines: “Helpful comments are fact-based, include links to data or research, and provide specific information concerning potential impacts on biological, cultural, and natural resources. If you are providing a comment about a specific area, please specify that in your comment.
