A Remarkable Milestone of Service — Congratulations, Robert Barrett!

Today, the Gaines County Commissioners Court proudly recognized Gaines County Emergency Management Coordinator Robert Barrett for more than 50 years of dedicated service to the Seminole and Gaines County communities.

In a fitting tribute to a career defined by commitment, leadership, and service, the Commissioners Court voted unanimously this morning to dedicate the newly remodeled Gaines County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in honor of Robert Barrett.

For many years, a new Emergency Operations Center has been a vision and a project close to Barrett’s heart. With the help of our dedicated leaders, that vision became a reality — and the new EOC will now carry his name as a lasting reminder of the countless hours he has devoted to protecting and serving the people of Gaines County.

Fifty years of service is an extraordinary accomplishment, and Gaines County is fortunate to have benefited from Robert’s dedication, experience, and unwavering commitment to our community.

Congratulations, Robert, and thank you for more than five decades of service to Seminole and Gaines County!
