Let's be transparent. For 2 years, and it's still not over. If y'all think the reservoir fight per say is over. It's not. We got 2 litigations going on right now. We are suing MAWSS and Bud McCrory is being sued personally (in Andy's case). We have a group of individuals (MAWSS) that think they own the reservoir. So we have challenged them. And it's been going on for a long time. There are 2 lawsuits going on right now. One for a road that the county gave to MAWSS. And another for some not innocent actions (Andy's case).

MAWSS is still claiming ownership of Big Creek Lake. Attached is a paragraph from the lease that MAWSS got from the ADCNR. It covers what is required from MAWSS in order to keep that lease valid. If you own something, you don't have to lease rights to operate in it! MAWSS and it's director has lied so much over the last almost 2 years. I don't know how they keep all of their lies straight.

Water contaminants ❗❗These are the results after it has been through the treatment facility. Not form the source. EPA Standard is .20 ppm that is parts per million.

A pre-conference meeting is held a few days before the actual County Commission conference meeting. In a pre-conference meeting all topics or actions set for agenda are announced and discussed. For the February 2022 meeting when Howells Ferry rd was vacated there was no pre-conference meeting. They cancelled it and just had a combined conference. This is not the only time that they've done that. But we find it significant in this issue. If an action this important isn't first announced and then a proper amount of time given for each commissioner to research the pending request. How can we know that each commissioner is truly aware of the implications and consequences of the vote they are being asked to make? It's been said numerous times that the commission "must go off of the recommendations of council". How do we know that those recommendations are truly for the betterment of the citizens in each district? Litigation is costly.... No matter what side of the issue you are on.

Big Creek Lake 10-18-26 with Dr. Jeff Woodruff showing him first hand what Mawss tried to take from us. This is our Public Navigable Waterway that Mawss told everyone that they "OWN". Dr. Jeff Woodruff has helped us from the start and pledged to keep helping until the job is done. We will not stop until we reclaim what is rightfully OURS.
Thank you all for the continued support!

Just wanted to remind everyone that by Alabama Code Section 9-11-80 defines Big Creek as a PUBLIC WATERWAY (which means we are not talking about a private lake or pond on someone's property). Deemed NAVIGABLE by Alabama Congress in 1857-1858 Session ACT 339. We will not stop until we secure what is rightfully OUR PUBLIC WATERS.
A HUGE Thanks to all that continues to stand with us!
