I do not normally comment on court cases that come in front of me on social media; however, I can assure that I always look carefully at both sides and make decisions based solely on the facts brought before me. With every decision a judge makes, at times one or both parties may leave the courtroom unhappy with the decision. Civil matters in Justice court do not require you hire an attorney, but you will be held to same guidelines. Now if you lose your case you have right to appeal that case. I suggest appealing the case prior to using social media to strike out if a decision is made that may not be the decision desired .

Mississippi Code § 97-35-47 (2024), it is unlawful for any person to report a crime to law enforcement or court knowing the report is false. A violation is a misdemeanor and is punishable by:
county jail for up to one year; and/or
A fine of up to Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00).

In addition, the court can order the offender to pay restitution to the law enforcement agency for the reasonable costs incurred during the investigation of the false report.

The penalties for willfully filing a false child abuse claim could be more severe in Mississippi after the Senate Judiciary B Committee passed a House bill recently.

Be careful after this storm hiring contractors . MS has a remodeler license (projects $10k or more)and a residential builder license (over $50k). State law treats unlicensed contracting as a misdemeanor . Fines $100 to $5,000 and jail 30-60 days.
