99. For our department, that’s not just a number, it’s the number of events/calls we have been on so far this year. In 2025 we finished the year at 96, we are in October at 99 this year. What makes up that 99? That is motor vehicle accidents, structure fires, basement pumping, wires and trees down, fire police, standing by for our neighbors while they are on calls, setting up landing zones, cardiac arrests, help lifting, providing coverage at the county fair demo derby, carbon monoxide and smoke detector alarms, automatic alarms and so on. That is what we Volunteer to do, at all times of the day and night for our community. Then there are numbers that we don’t post on our signboard. The hours of training, organizing the best Chicken BBQ, hosting an aerial entertainment event, and more. We are so grateful for the support of our community.

If you are available to stop down and visit us on October 31st, from 1-3pm, we’d love to see you and share some helpful tips. For the kids, there will be treats and the opportunity to see the fire trucks. Stop by and visit with your local volunteers. We love helping our Community and we are looking forward to seeing you at our event.
