Wow, what a busy season in the garden!

So far this season, we have donated about 750 pounds of fresh produce to local senior housing facilities, food pantries, and individuals within Seneca County thanks to generous supporters and our community garden members for their efforts.

This year we gave businesses the opportunity to sponsor a raised bed for the 2026 season, with 10 local businesses sponsoring one (or more raised beds). We are so thankful to the following businesses for their generous donations:
Parker's on Fall, Ithaca B**r Co., Roloson Electric, Knights of Columbus, National Women's Hall of Fame, Elements on Van Cleef, Cafe 19, Ferrara Building Supplies Inc., Town of Seneca Falls Police Department and Joy Yoga.

The following individuals also sponsored raised beds:
Gabby Cosentino and Jackson Puylara, Doug and Susan Avery.

Without the generous donations from these businesses and individuals we would not have been able to donate to the following food pantries throughout the 2026 growing season: Seneca Falls Backpack Program, Inc. Seneca County House of Concern Food Pantry & Thrift Store, Waterloo Library and Historical Society, Prospect Hill and Lafayette Senior Housing facilities, as well as Huntington Apartments.

The growing, harvesting, and delivering was done by a small and mighty group of volunteers:
Kathryn Peterson, Janet Smith Pucci, Linda Petro Rice, Mary Grace, Theresa Clark, Jane Spiwak, and Viv Rescorl.

Our goal next season is to donate well over 1000 pounds to those in need and to be able to spread across the entire county, we would love your help.
Please consider donating some time next season to help in our efforts to provide a larger harvest to more in need.

We still have harvesting to be done and clean-up of course for this season. Please consider bringing yourself and your family to our annual Fall Fun Day! coming up on Saturday October 17th from 9am to 11am. All ages are welcome and encouraged to join in the fun 🍂
