Turkey shoots this year are on Nov. 5, 12, and 19. Hope to start before 7pm but will depend on when we can get enough members to start. If rain, check back here to see if cancelled. Concession stand and restrooms available. 1808. Please share. We are late getting the word out this year due to town of Severn will be making improvements to concession stand and playground, as soon as contractors start.

Last night's training, critique of last month's training drill, then going out and making changes to improve. Also, trained on the new VIPER radios and critiqued last calls. Always training on new techniques, equipment to see if it works better for us than before to make it safer for our members and you. Also, just had all our SCBA units go through their annual flow testing, to make sure they perform correctly when needed. Expensive and time consuming yes, but it proves operational readiness. 1808 WSO.

After years of having our own weather reporting station, it will soon come to an end. Our weather station has served us and our viewers with weather conditions right here in Severn for years but with recent system error reporting and now that Acurite is changing the app and format effective October 07, 2026 our station will probably be off line after that date. We would like to thank all of those who viewed and received alerts from our station over the years and hope that you will find another source of local weather information.
If you would like to find other local sites try searching some of these web pages. If there any changes in the future, you will be notified.

These sites will take you to numerous transmitting sites that can provide you with some local weather information. (zip code)
Thank you and Be Safe. (SO-1809)
