While we were able to open quite a few roads today, there are some that will remain closed due to water still being over the road, or for having such extensive damage. Please be safe and do not drive around barricades!

Good morning, Seward County! This week, we wanted to bring attention to overpasses, specifically those that go over Interstate 80. In case you haven't noticed, there are yellow advisory signs with a recommended safe maximum speed of 45mph. While these signs are not mandatory or legally enforceable, they are there as a safety suggestion. A lower speed would be safer due to the traffic that exits off of the Interstate. While it is the duty of off-coming traffic to stop at the end of the ramp, it is still the responsibility of all motorists to drive at a speed that is reasonable and prudent.

There is a lot of rain expected this week, so drive safe out there!
