Somebody thought it would be a great day to go to the library. I helped our visitor find a better spot but you can find all sorts of great books to read on this gloomy day

We will be closing early today, September 25. Enjoy the fun of the community.

The Mystery Book is here! It is Long Time Gone by Charlie Donlea. We should have more copies coming in on Thursday. The discussion is planned for September 30.

So Mystery Book Club is delayed slightly. In the meantime, what mystery book would you recommend to others?

Just a reminder that the library will be closed for Labor Day on Monday. Have a safe weekend and enjoy reading.

Update! We got an email from Hoopla today and it Said the problem should be resolved. Yeah!

08/10/2026

Note for Hoopla users. I have looked on various sites and this is what I could gather. They did an update on July 31. It is causing problems for some people almost nationwide. Of course people are frustrated and angry! I think the Hoopla people are trying to fix the problem.
We have received reports of the Hoopla app not working on Apple devices. In the meantime the suggestions I see for a temporary fix are:
Uninstall the Hoopla Digital app
Turn off your device completely and wait 15-30 seconds
Turn on your device and reinstall the Hoopla Digital app

Be patient. They'll get there. If need to order yourself actual books, let us know. Remember there are two other reading apps which are Libby (uses same thing as Hoopla just may have a waiting list) and Cloud (this requires a state of Kansas ecard).
