Shasta Union Elementary Montessori Shasta Elementary Montessori, the oldest continuously operating public school in California! Free Montessori education, homeschool-hybrid option, TK-8th grade.

Located in historic Old Shasta. Choosing a school for your child is an important decision. If you are like most
parents, you want your child to be educated in an environment where their
intellectual abilities and self-esteem grow hand in hand, where imagination
and curiosity are cultivated, where critical thinking and competencies
flourish, where students learn to respect all cultures and people, and where
teachers care deeply for the whole person who is their student, and your child. We believe Middle Creek Montessori is that school.

Who knew candy and pasta could teach us so much about the human body?!

Our students brought science to life by building DNA double helix models with candy and creating human skeletons using dried pasta!

We love finding creative ways to make learning hands-on, engaging, and FUN! When students can build, explore, and create, those big science concepts become easier to understand and a whole lot more memorable.

All thanks to our creative teachers and the hard work they do every day in the classroom.

Because sometimes the best learning happens when you put down the textbook and get a little creative!
