💧 PUBLIC SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT — WATER SAFETY 💧

Whether you’re spending the day at the lake, floating the river, boating, or cooling off in a creek, remember that water conditions can change quickly.

A few simple precautions can save a life: wear a life jacket, keep children within reach, avoid alcohol while swimming or operating watercraft, watch changing currents and conditions, and always let someone know where you’re going.

Even on a hot day, cold water can quickly cause exhaustion and hypothermia.

Be prepared. Be aware. Stay safe. And look out for one another.

🔥 PUBLIC SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT — KITCHEN FIRE SAFETY 🔥

Kitchen fires can start in seconds, but a few simple precautions can help prevent a tragedy.

🍳 Stay in the kitchen while frying, grilling, or broiling.
🔥 Keep towels, oven mitts, paper products, and other flammables away from the stovetop.
⏱️ Use a timer so cooking food isn’t forgotten.
👧🐾 Keep children and pets at least 3 feet away from hot cooking surfaces.
🧽 Keep appliances and cooktops clean and free of grease buildup.

If a grease fire starts:
✅ Turn off the heat if it is safe to do so.
✅ Cover the pan with a metal lid or cookie sheet to smother the flames.
❌ NEVER use water on a grease fire!
☎️ If the fire is spreading, get everyone outside, close the door behind you, and call 911.

And remember—working smoke alarms save lives. Test yours monthly and make sure everyone in your household knows at least two ways out.

🔥 Stop fire before it starts. A few moments of prevention can protect your family, your home, and your life.

🔥 PUBLIC SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT: SLEEP WITH YOUR DOOR CLOSED! 🚪🔥

Something as simple as closing your bedroom door before you go to sleep could save your life during a house fire.

A closed door can:
🔥 Slow the spread of fire and smoke
🌡️ Reduce heat exposure
⏱️ Give you valuable extra time to escape or be rescued
❤️ Increase your chances of survival

Make it part of your nightly routine: Close your bedroom doors, test your smoke alarms regularly, and make sure everyone in your home knows your fire escape plan.

One simple action tonight could make all the difference tomorrow.

Please share this reminder with your family, friends, and neighbors. Stay safe!

☀️ PUBLIC SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT: HOT CARS CAN KILL! 🚗🔥

With summer temperatures soaring, remember that the inside of a vehicle can become dangerously hot in just minutes. Children and pets are especially vulnerable to heatstroke—and cracking the windows provides little to no protection.

👶🐾 Look Before You Lock — Every Trip. Every Time.

Never leave a child or pet unattended in a vehicle, even for a minute. Always check the back seat before walking away. If you see a child or pet in distress inside a hot vehicle, call 911 immediately.

A quick stop isn’t worth a life. Please share this reminder and help keep our community safe! ❤️

Public Safety Announcement: Home Fire Sprinklers Save Lives

A home fire can become deadly in as little as two minutes. Residential fire sprinklers are one of the most effective ways to protect your family, your home, and your firefighters.

Did You Know?

- Home fire sprinklers activate individually—only the sprinkler closest to the fire operates.
- Sprinklers can control or even extinguish a fire before the fire department arrives.
- They dramatically reduce the risk of death, injury, and property damage.
- Sprinklers use less water than a fire hose, often reducing overall water damage.

Fire Sprinklers + Smoke Alarms = The Best Protection
Smoke alarms provide the early warning to escape, while fire sprinklers help keep the fire under control. Together, they give your family the best chance of getting out safely.

Protect What Matters Most
Whether you're building a new home or considering upgrades, ask your builder or contractor about installing a residential fire sprinkler system. It's an investment that can save lives.

Remember: Get out, stay out, and call 911. Never go back inside a burning home.
