We’re proud of our Potawatomi Leadership Program alumni!

Applications for the 2027 Potawatomi Leadership Program open November 15!

In June, the CPN Department of Education welcomed 11 eligible Tribal members from across the United States to Shawnee, Oklahoma, for the annual Potawatomi Leadership Program. Students spent six weeks learning about the Potawatomi culture, Tribal leadership and the roles of Tribal departments, services and enterprises.

Participants met with each department within the Tribe, attended Family Reunion Festival, and worked on several projects. Students conducted interviews with Tribal elders, worked in groups to develop ideas for programs or services they believed could benefit Tribal members and the Nation, and offered final reflections on their experiences in the program.
