Child Advocacy Center of Central Oklahoma functions to improve the efficacy of multi-agency child maltreatment investigations and foster the collaboration of professionals that respond during the initiation and intervention of cases of child maltreatment while providing competent and defensibly sound services for child victims.

Lately, we’ve seen an increase in emergency forensic interviews, which means more children and families are coming through our doors with very little notice.

And most times- they’re hungry.

Food insecurity is very real, and for some of the children we serve, the snack or meal they receive while they’re at our center may be more important than we ever realize. In the middle of an already difficult day, being able to offer something as simple as food is one small way we can help them feel safe, cared for, and supported. πŸ–€

Our snack supply is running low, and we would be incredibly grateful for donations of individually packaged, kid-friendly snacks and water bottles.

We are also accepting DoorDash gift cards- which allow us to provide meals for children and families who may be with us for several hours during an interview or emergency visit.

It may seem like a small thing, but meeting a child’s basic needs matters, especially on a day when so much else feels uncertain.

Thank you for helping us make sure no child who walks through our doors has to sit here hungry or leave hungry. πŸ–€

We have to take a minute to recognize some pretty incredible people!

Twisted D’s Music Factory drove SIX HOURS to DJ our 2nd Annual Driven for Justice Car Show β€” and they did it completely FREE OF CHARGE! 🀯❀️

Six hours on the road, their equipment, their time, their talent, and an entire day spent helping make our event special…all because they wanted to support our mission and the children and families we serve.

That kind of generosity deserves to be recognized. πŸ₯Ή

The music and announcements kept the energy going all day, and we are incredibly grateful that you chose to show up for us in such a BIG way.
