This month's EveryDay Dads 2nd Saturday breakfast is a special event for the whole family, our first-ever Dean Weigant Duck Hunt! Put on your camo or hunter's orange, bring your kiddos, and come ready to "hunt" till you've limited out. (Like an Easter egg hunt, but with rubber ducks!) The event is 9:00-10:30 at Dean Weigant Park, commonly known as "slide park," at 1741 W Rosa St, just north of the expo center and west of the airport. Hunting will begin at 9:30!

Breakfast burritos will be provided to the first 100 people in attendance, and prizes will be available for both children and parents!

Part of the hunting area will be along the airport walking track, so come ready to move: comfy shoes, kids' bikes/trikes or strollers if you want them, etc.

Don't have your kiddos this weekend but want in on the fun? Email Brent at [email protected] to inquire about volunteering. And of course, you're always welcome to just come reconnect with your EveryDay Dads community!

Meet Shasta!

Shasta has been apart of the Community Renewal family for a few years now, and is an integral member of our Good Neighbor Friendship House programming. Shasta shares light and love to every person she meets, and we are thankful for her presence in our community!

She shares that before she was apart of CRPC programming, life was hard, and the day to day was difficult. She then met one of our staff, and her life changed. She found her voice, and found a support system. Not only did her life change, but so did her kid's lives.

Stories like Shasta's is our WHY. Why we have Friendship Houses. Why we have restorative programming. Why "We Care."

What a special day celebrating 10 years of Community Renewal!

Our Decade of Connection and Impact luncheon was a meaningful opportunity to reflect on where we’ve been, celebrate the impact happening across our community, and look ahead to what’s next.

For the past decade, Community Renewal has invested in children and adults through programs that impact families, schools, and neighborhoods for generational change.

We’re incredibly grateful for the donors, volunteers, partners, staff, and neighbors who have made this work possible. 10 years is just the beginning. Here’s to continuing to invest in people, strengthen our community, and create lasting change for generations to come!
