Tonight is the night!

On October 29, at 7 p.m. in the MTRS Library, students and community members will engage with the reading of "What to a Slave is the Fourth of July?" Please come and experience these words and the spirit of Frederick Douglass through the voices of this community. Discussion and refreshments are part of the evening.

While you're in the library, check out the exhibit now on display titled "Frederick Douglass: Advocate for Equality" from the Gilder Lehman Institute of American History. The exhibit consists of 6 informational panels on the life and work of abolitionist Frederick Douglass. It will be on display through the middle of November, and is open for public viewing on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 2 p.m.

In this election season, come experience the power of history at MTRS!

We offer thanks to those organizations that partner with us and help bring these events to life!

The 2district8towns Steering Committee's recommendation to endorse moving forward with the MSBA Feasibility Study follows more than two years of research, community engagement, and analysis examining how the districts can preserve and expand educational opportunities for students while addressing declining enrollment, rising costs, and long-term financial sustainability. The Steering Committee believes that moving into feasibility is the appropriate next step toward determining whether its preferred vision—a unified PreK–12 district organized around a single campus at Mohawk Trail—is educationally and financially practical.

The Committee's recommendation is an important step forward, but it is not a decision to build a new school or final approval of a single-campus model. Rather, it reflects the Committee's conclusion that the next step should be a more detailed examination of what a consolidated campus could look like, what it would cost, and how it might best serve students.
