Don't wait for a long-lost relative to leave you money. Instead, come to the ICash event and let Kevin from the Illinois State Treasurer's Office help you search. He can even help you start your claim. Can't make it? You can still check by going to https://icash.illinoistreasurer.gov/app/claim-search

If your kiddos need a free craft next Saturday during Scarecrow Daze, bring them in so they make a life-size scarecrow by getting the outline of their bodies traced on large sheets of kraft paper and then using art supplies to decorate it. We'll also have a book sale of our children's picture books with a few beginning reader/leveled reader books in the mix. Donations in lieu of set prices will be accepted.

Overdue for an adventure? Then join us for the 8th Annual IHLS Library Crawl, October 1 - October 31!
How it works:
Stop by the Shelbyville Public Library to pick up a passport beginning October 1. Participating libraries are listed in the passport. Visit as many participating libraries as you can/want to during October. Stop by the circulation desk at each library you visit, to get your passport stamped (some libraries have a small treat to hand out as well). Explore each library to see what they have to offer. Return your passport to the library by October 31 to be entered into a prize drawing!
This is a great way to see what different libraries have to offer and what is unique about each one. Your Shelbyville Public Library card can be used at all IHLS libraries, so if you see something you want to borrow, check it out while you're crawling and you can even bring it to us to return back to them!
