Patty Clifton (Retired Early Interventionist and Giles County Board Member), Chrissy Baxter (TEIS Service Coordinator), and Bethany Mize (CDC Early Interventionist) were honored to participate in the Giles County Community Drive-Thru Baby Shower! Together, they connected directly with 40 local families, providing more than just goody bags. They provided connections, resources, and support for families and their young children. Each family received a bag filled with bibs, children’s books, TEIS resources, CDC information, and valuable materials to support healthy development and early learning. Events like this are a powerful way to meet families where they are, make important community resources more accessible, and ensure parents know they are not alone in navigating the early years. These women were grateful for the opportunity to connect with so many families and help strengthen awareness of the services and support available to children and families throughout Giles County.

Enabling Technology Spotlight! Many of our MAPs clients have incorporated digital calendars into their daily lives and routines. By visually representing personal and household schedules and events, digital calendars serve as assistive technology by tracking chores, showing the weather forecast, keeping a grocery list, and displaying images and messages.
