A documentary honoring the people behind the uniforms and the stories they carried home.

This is FREE to the public.

After the showing, stay and join us for a meal served at the Shellsburg American Legion Hall next door!

Dear Patron:
Libby Update, Effective October 13, 2026

New security measures have been added to login methods for Libby. This is not optional and keeps your account secure from accidental logins by another patron!

We have attempted to email our Libby users. If you did not receive an email, either we do not have the correct email or your LIBBY app may be set to another library.

Our Libby services are limited to Shellsburg, Palo and Benton County residents. If you do not fall into either of these categories, Libby will return a failure to login with your Shellsburg Library Account Number. Please check your Libby app and be sure you are connected to your library. .

We are happy to provide information on these services and to point you in the right location if you are interested in utilizing them.

Step-by-step sign in guide for Libby:
When logging in, select log in with a public library card and search for Shellsburg Public Library as your library (Shellsburg, Palo and Benton County residents).
Then, sign in with your card number. This is the 3 or 4 digit number provided to you at the Shellsburg Library. You can call us at 319-436-2112 and request your library number if you do not know it.
Finally, type in your password which has been set to your three or four digit card number as well.
Thank you for using the Libby application which allows many services for our e-readers.
Again, if you are a Libby user and having issues after October 13, 2026, please call the library at 319-436-2112.
Libby offers ebooks and audiobooks (for free!).
Don't have the Libby app, go to your store and look for the Libby logo and download. If you are a resident of Shellsburg, Palo or Benton County, choose the Shellsburg Public Library. If you do not have an account with the Shellsburg Public Library, stop in and we will get you set up.
Thank you,
Shellsburg Public Library
