Ernie Klimek has been busy since late summer training our first WorkEx graduates, who recently graduated from the program. WorkEx is the Thurston County Chamber and PACMTN liaison to the Department of War (DoW) Skilbridge program. The lead for the program is Andrew Garate.

This program allows service members to try civilian jobs the last 6 months of enlistment with costs covered by the DoW. The students are now eligible to test for their WDM 1 as an Operator-in- Training. One student has found employment with a utility and the second is well versed in Cyber Security and looking to land a position.

Today, we’re celebrating Keith Cournyer’s 2-year anniversary with ERWoW! 🥳

Keith is one of our amazing Circuit Riders, and throughout his time with us, he’s taken on a few different roles. We’re grateful for the experience, dedication, and hard work he brings to our team! And for keeping our grass green.... literally! The grass is greener with Keith.

We are in Wenatchee at the Wenatchee Convention Center this week attending the IACC Conference! Stop by and see Pat Bailey at our booth. Our field staff will be there as well on tech teams.

Happy ! Did you know NRWA has operated a Source Water Protection Program, in partnership with USDA, since 2000?

During this time, more than 3,350 Source Water Protection Plans have been implemented across rural America. ⛰️💧

The team is taking on the NRWA WaterPro Conference in Phoenix,AZ this week! Yesterday the opening session video featured the team as part of 50 years of technical assistance and last night they were selected to play WaterPro Feud and we WON!!!! Special thanks to Wastewater Tech Chad Short and Board President Jason Clawson for winning an additional $2500 in fast money!!! We will be using our winnings to purchase new equipment to help provide better technical assistance to the small systems in WA!

2026 Fall Conference and Tradeshow photo dump! 💥

We had a great Fall Conference at the end of August at the Yakima Convention Center. Our water taste winner is Lake Cushman! Who is pretty local to our office so that is super exciting! Congratulations to the crew at Lake Cushman! Jimmy Falco with NRWA was at our conference and was our opening speaker. Our board president Jason Clawson also spoke to the attendees. We had a full exhibit hall. Thank you to all the vendors that come to our shows. We appreciate you all so much!

Next up is the Annual Conference in Tulalip is February. We hope to see you there!
