🚒🧯Fire Prevention 🧯🚒

Thank you to the Battalion Chief KC Whitehouse and the firefighters from Central Mason Fire & EMS . They visited Mt. View and shared fire safety information, a tour of their trucks and a demonstration of their gear with our K-1 students in conjunction with Fire Prevention Week.
They answered questions that our students asked and allowed kids to come up close to help alleviate any fears that kids might have when they see a firefighter approach.
We appreciate these wonderful community heroes and the time they spent with us!

*Note: Two of the firefighters are Mt. View alums. How cool is that?

Staff is here late for parent/teacher conferences and we received a gift. Looking out our windows, we could see a rainbow as the sky darkened. Beautiful!

It was a perfect day for the Specialists' Walkathon last Friday. The kids were excited to run and walk, we had music playing and some former Mt View students even cheered us on from OMS during their recesses!
Now that the kids have completed their laps, it's time to collect funds and send them into school by this Friday. Next week, we will award prizes for most laps, hardest workers and top earner.
Funds collected help pay for enriching materials and programming provided by the specialists, like author visits, costumes for musical programs, , fun PE games and special art projects.
Thanks for your support and tell your kids that we're proud of their efforts!
