Good morning friends and neighbors. I usually let rumor mills run, but a recent post said I am “not even on the Housing Authority board anymore, at least not legally,” and that my voter pamphlet is false.
That is not what the law or the minutes say.
On April 16, 2025, the Mason County Housing Authority minutes show I was elected chair. I have continued to serve. Under RCW 35.82.040, a housing authority commissioner holds office until a successor is appointed and qualifies, unless removed under the statute. The county website is out of date — it still lists me, misspelled, with an old term date. A website that has not been updated is not a removal.
I was not removed. Board appointments do not vanish the day a date on a webpage passes.
The rest of that post asks what I have done. On the Housing Authority we paid down debt, got roofs on buildings, cleaned up units, and improved the audit record from years of findings. On the City Council I have worked on public safety, cleanliness, and keeping costs down for residents. I will keep pointing people to minutes and results, not Facebook score-settling. Most people who actually know that story already know the difference between a stale webpage and the work.
Love you all. Have a great day y’all!!! George

A quarter of a century has passed since September 11, 2001, when the peace of our Nation was shattered by terrorists.

Today, we remember the 2,977 precious lives taken from us, honor the heroes who answered the call, & keep their families in the heart of our Nation.

Above all, we must ensure the memory of 9/11 never fades, but is carried from one generation of Americans to the next.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

September 10, 2025, changed America’s history forever.

One year ago, our founder, our leader, and our friend, Charlie Kirk, was assassinated while doing what he had devoted his life to: standing before young Americans and challenging them to think, speak, and have the courage to stand for what they believe.

There are no words that can adequately describe what this past year has been like.

We have had to learn how to carry on without the person at the center of everything we do. We have celebrated milestones Charlie should have been here to celebrate, stood on stages where his voice should have been heard, and watched his children grow without their father there to see it.

For those who knew and loved Charlie, September 10 will never simply be an anniversary. It is the day our lives changed forever.

Today, our hearts are especially with Erika, Charlie’s children, the Kirk family, and the countless people who loved him. We will never forget the unimaginable loss they continue to carry.

But we also remember Charlie for how he lived.

Charlie’s faith was at the center of who he was. His faith in Christ was his armor, which no assassin could overcome. He believed in life everlasting, and that unshakable faith gave him a courage impossible to miss. He wanted others to know the hope and truth he had in Jesus. Charlie died a martyr for Christ.

Charlie believed America was worth fighting for, that young people could change the course of a nation, and that speech would only remain free if exercised. He was fearless in the pursuit of truth, no matter the cost.

Turning Point shares those beliefs and will never abandon them. Charlie never gave up, and neither will we.

Today, we remember an incredible patriot, a husband, a father, and a man whose faith gave him the courage to spend his life serving a purpose bigger than himself.

We miss him. We grieve him. And we will never forget him.

One year later, Turning Point remains committed to carrying forward the work Charlie began.

For Charlie. Always.

No Republican governor since 1985. Democrats have controlled the House since 2002 and the Senate since 2017. If you don’t like the results, don’t ignore who’s been running the show.
