🎣🔥 NPFL MILITARY CLASSIC – DAY 2 | WE FOUND SOMETHING SPECIAL! 🇺🇸

17 KEEPERS. ONE OF THE BIGGEST BAGS OF THE DAY. AND A PATTERN NOBODY ELSE WAS RUNNING! 💪🎣

After a roller coaster on Day 1 at Douglas Lake, we picked up right where we left off! We knew we had found something during practice, and after figuring things out late on Day 1, it was time to put that knowledge to work!

DAY 2 WAS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STORY!

🔥 17 keeper fish caught!
🔥 One of the biggest bags weighed in that day!
🔥 Fishing a pattern that nobody else seemed to be doing!
🔥 Making adjustments and capitalizing on what we had discovered!

We weren’t following the crowd. We were doing our own thing, trusting our instincts, and making it happen!

😂 AND BOY, DID WE WISH WE HAD A PUSH POLE!

You’ll understand exactly why when you watch the video! Sometimes getting to the fish is half the battle, and let’s just say we were willing to do whatever it took!

There’s a reason he’s a TWO-TIME Force on Force Champion! Day 1 tested our patience, but Day 2 showed what happens when you refuse to quit, trust your decisions, and execute your game plan.

Douglas Lake has a unique slot limit, allowing only two fish over 16 inches in your daily catch, so catching 17 keepers doesn’t mean all 17 can go to the scales. It’s about finding the right five!

We went from struggling to find fish early on Day 1 to putting together one of the biggest bags of Day 2!

🎣🔥 NPFL MILITARY CLASSIC – DAY 1 | NEVER QUIT! 🇺🇸

Douglas Lake threw everything it had at us on Day 1 of the NPFL Military Classic, and this one was a roller coaster!

At 2 PM, we had ONE keeper in the boat! 😳

Douglas Lake has an interesting slot limit, allowing only two fish over 16 inches in your daily catch. That makes every bite count, and every lost fish even more painful!

We found an area during practice that we knew had the potential to produce, but we needed two things: the rain to move out and the sun to come out! Unfortunately, Mother Nature wasn’t cooperating.

Then things started changing late in the day!

But not before we hooked into a BIG ONE that came unbuttoned! 💔 That fish could have launched us into the TOP FIVE, possibly even the LEAD!

That’s tournament fishing. One fish can change everything!

💪 The Boss showed exactly why he’s a TWO-TIME Force on Force Champion! When things weren’t going our way, he didn’t panic, didn’t give up, and kept grinding until we started putting fish in the boat!

🇺🇸🎣 The NPFL MILITARY CLASSIC — WHAT AN EVENT! 🎣🇺🇸

First and foremost, we want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to the entire NPFL organization for putting on such an incredible event and for making the first-ever NPFL Military Classic something truly special.

From the planning and organization to the way our military anglers and Task Force members were welcomed and treated throughout the event, The NPFL went above and beyond. Putting together an event like this takes a tremendous amount of work behind the scenes, and it showed. We are extremely grateful to The NPFL leadership, staff, pros, sponsors, and everyone who had a hand in making this event happen.

Here are just a few pictures from multiple days of an event we won’t soon forget.

We had a great group of ArmyBassAnglers pros alongside members of the Task Force, and one of the best parts was simply having everyone together. We met new faces, reconnected with old friends, rekindled some old rivalries, and built new relationships that will last well beyond this tournament.

It was also pretty awesome watching several former Force on Force Champions remind everyone exactly why they earned that title, putting together some outstanding finishes against a strong field!

A huge congratulations to our own Brent Hill, who had an incredible tournament and finished 2nd overall! And even the Boss Man managed to put together a pretty darn good finish himself!

Finally, congratulations to Jamie Caldwell and his partner for making history and taking home the championship at the inaugural NPFL Military Classic! 🏆🇺🇸

DAY 1 — NPFL MILITARY CLASSIC 🇺🇸🎣

What a day for ArmyBassAnglers!

We’re going to let the pictures do a lot of the talking, but our Task Force members and ABA Pros showed up and showed out on Day 1 of the NPFL Military Classic. Across the board, our guys had a strong day on the water and represented ArmyBassAnglers exactly the way we expect—with professionalism, teamwork, and a whole lot of competitive fire.

Events like this are about more than where you finish on the leaderboard. They’re about putting veterans and service members in the boat, building relationships, and showing what the Support. Defend. Fish. mission looks like in action.

But make no mistake… our guys came to fish, too. 💪🎣

Great night at the NPFL Military Classic Registration Dinner! 🇺🇸🎣

The ArmyBassAnglers Task Force and ABA Pros came together for registration, along with the boss, as we get ready for the NPFL Military Classic.

This is what ArmyBassAnglers is all about—bringing our team together, supporting our military community, and using the sport of bass fishing to continue a mission that started nearly two decades ago.

A lot of experience, friendships, stories, and probably a little trash talk in one picture! 😂 Tomorrow, it’s time to put it all to work on the water.

A little bit of the National Anthem, then it’s time for Army West Point to head out and go to work at the Collegiate Big Bass Bash out of Paris Landing.

Proud to have these cadets representing West Point and the United States Army on the water. Today, they’re looking for that one bite that can make all the difference.
