Members of Grant County Rescue and multiple Fire Departments across the county spent time in the dreaded heat today sharpening skills on SchoolBus Extrication. It was extremely hot but accidents dont always happen in nice weather so we have to be ready for anything. Rescue and Fire Dept members practiced techniques on how to remove students if they were ever involved in an accident via removing the side, roof, front, or back of a bus.

Members of Grant County Rescue, Sheridan FD, and Calvert FD spent part of the day in the heat training on Advanced Extrication. A lot of good information was shared about different techniques of vehicle stabilization and technical rescue due to entrapment. This was one of the best extrication classes we’ve attended yet

Monday and Tuesday Night Grant County Rescue and MEMS hosted a 2 night Boot Camp Class. Monday night consisted of Medical Assessments and Tuesday was Trauma Night. The turnout in attendance was awesome across the county.
Fire Departments and Rescue members got to learn techniques and sharpen their skills on treating and assessing patients along with Stop the Bleed, Splinting, and many other skills..
