When people think about healing, they often think about what they can see.
Bandages. Scars. Hospital rooms. But real healing is bigger than that.
It is physical recovery.
Emotional resilience.
Psychological support.
Confidence restored.
A child returning to school and feeling like themselves again.
That kind of healing takes a team.
Childrenโs Burn Foundation brings that team together, supporting the whole child and the whole family.
We are grateful to partner with Torrance Memorial Medical Center and physicians like Dr. Vimal Murthy, who care for children in the most critical moments.
Together, we help ensure healing continues long after discharge.
Healing the whole child. ๐

Children's Burn Foundation works to prevent the pain and trauma of burn injuries to children thru education and to provide treatment and support for children who have suffered severe burns.
โCamp gives these kids a chance to just be kids again.โ ๐
At Camp Gung Ho, children impacted by burn injuries step away from hospital visits, therapy appointments, and the daily challenges of recovery to build friendships, confidence, courage, and lifelong memories in a safe and supportive environment.
This special day in Calabasas included pool time with the incredible team at Golden State Lifeguards, arts and crafts, laughter, connection, and so many meaningful moments of joy and healing.
As one of the lifeguards shared in this video, camp is about so much more than fun. It helps children build resilience, independence, confidence, and hope for the future ahead.
Every gift helps make these experiences possible:
๐ $50 sponsors a healing art activity
๐ $150 sends a child to Camp Gung Ho for a day
๐ $450 helps provide the full camp experience
Even support for transportation helps ensure children arrive safely to a place where healing continues in community.
Thank you for helping make Camp Gung Ho possible for burn survivors and their families. www.childburn.org/donate

Did you miss Giving New Hope?
We were honored to recognize Noah Wyle, executive producer, writer, director, and Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning star of ๐๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ช๐ต๐ต, with the Giving New Hope Award, alongside Patricia and John Nickoll, recipients of the Douglas M. Mancino Spirit of Humanity Award. Their compassion and commitment to lifting others reflect the heart of Childrenโs Burn Foundationโs mission.
One of the most moving moments of the evening was hearing young burn survivors bravely share their stories, a powerful reminder that healing is not a single moment, but a journey shaped by care, resilience, and community. This short clip from Noahโs remarks captures that spirit so beautifully.

Camp Gung Ho is more than just a few days away from the hospital, follow-up appointments, and ongoing physical and emotional therapy. It is a place where children can laugh, build confidence, and connect with others who truly understand their journey.
From art sessions to beach days, every moment helps children feel strong, supported, and free to simply be kids again.
Every gift makes a difference. Whether it supports a day at camp, a healing craft activity, or the full camp experience, you are helping create confidence, connection, and memories that last far beyond camp.

Three years. Untreated burns. Life-limiting pain.
When Dr. Esezobor met Faith, her injuries were classified as an emergency. Years earlier, an explosion while lighting a kerosene stove had changed her life. Without the funds to continue care, her parents were forced to bring her home. Her wounds were managed without specialized treatment, and over time, painful contractures took hold.
Burn injuries do not end when the flames are extinguished. Because of donors like you, Faith received 120 days of comprehensive care and safe accommodations. For the first time since her injury, she had a real chance to heal.

Every child deserves to feel like a hero. At Camp Gung Ho 2026, our campers will discover their superpowers. Courage. Resilience. Friendship. Confidence.
For many burn survivors, camp is more than a fun summer experience. It is the first time they feel fully understood. Fully included. Fully unstoppable.
When you sponsor a child to attend Camp Gung Ho, you are giving a child the adventure of a lifetime. You are helping a camper thrive. You are making dreams come true.
These experiences remind every child that strength does not come from a cape. It comes from within. Be the reason a child discovers their superpower. Sponsor a camper today. ๐ www.childburn.org/donate

One day to go. As Giving New Hope approaches, we are reminded why authentic stories of medicine matter.
Shows like ๐๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ช๐ต๐ต capture the intensity, urgency, and humanity of care in critical moments. In this conversation, Fritz Coleman and Dr. Vimal Murthy reflect on what those moments mean in real life for burn survivors and their families. Healing does not happen in a single moment. It takes time. It takes community. It takes continued comprehensive care.
That is what Childrenโs Burn Foundation provides. Whether you are joining us tomorrow night or supporting from afar, you are helping make long-term recovery possible.
Preventing burns. Healing children. Empowering families. ๐
