🔥No Burn Day October 16🔥

State law prohibits outdoor burning when winds are less than 6 mph or more than 23 mph. The law applies even if the area has received lots of rain. Today, Friday October 16, 2026, wind gusts are expected to exceed this threshold due to the wind advisory.

You should always call the Grayson County Sheriffs Office Dispatch at 903-813-4411 when conducting an outdoor burn or to check conditions.

A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7pm today (Friday). Please take precautions to secure outdoor items such as lawn furniture, decorations, and other lightweight objects, and exercise extra caution when boating on area lakes.

North winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 to 45 mph expected.
