Today was a special day at Sory as we had the opportunity to dedicate one of our Buddy Benches to Western Heights Church of Christ in appreciation of their generous support of our Student Lighthouse Team’s Buddy Bench Project last year!

Thanks to the generosity of incredible community partners like Western Heights, our student leaders were able to turn their vision into reality, raising over $10,000 to provide Buddy Benches for every elementary campus in Sherman ISD!

These benches are more than just a place to sit. They represent kindness, friendship, inclusion, and the power of student leadership!

We are so grateful to Western Heights Church of Christ for believing in our students, supporting their vision, and helping them make a lasting difference in our community.

Together, we lead. Together, we make a difference!

A BIG Thank You to Olive Garden!

We want to give a HUGE shoutout to Olive Garden for generously donating a delicious lunch for our Sory staff today!

After a long day yesterday filled with leadership celebrations, Curriculum Night, and lots of Husky fun, our teachers and staff definitely deserved a special treat before heading into Fall Break!

Our staff pours their hearts into our students every single day, and we are so thankful for community partners like Olive Garden who help us show them just how appreciated they are!

Thank you, Olive Garden, for helping us end the week on such a wonderful note!

Painting Pumpkins with the Principals!

We had a PUMPKIN-TASTIC time today at Sory!

Our Husky leaders cashed in their hard-earned Husky Bucks for a special morning of painting pumpkins with the principals!

These students have been working hard to demonstrate positive behavior, make great choices, and lead by example! What a fun way to celebrate their efforts and reward their leadership!

We loved seeing their creativity shine! Way to go, Huskies!

The pumpkins will dry over fall break and be sent home on Oct. 19th.

Teachers or Students?! We Can’t Tell!

We wrapped up our Underground Dress-Up Week at Sory with Dress Like a Student Day! Our teachers traded their teacher style for backpacks, hoodies, and their best student looks!

Our staff definitely understood the assignment! We’ve had so much fun this week bringing laughter, creativity, and a little extra joy to our campus!

What an incredible Leadership Day we had yesterday! Our Husky Leaders shone in every corner of the building as they welcomed guests, taught the Habits, shared campus-wide leadership roles, discussed real-life applications of the Habits, introduced classroom ambassadors, and showcased their Leadership Portfolios. Their leadership was on point, and we couldn't be prouder of our Husky Leaders.
