Our Bears walked the red carpet this morning as we kicked off Red Ribbon Week at Sylvan Hills Elementary! Staff served as paparazzi, welcoming our students like the stars they are during car rider drop-off.

We’re celebrating healthy choices and reminding our Bears: Make a difference. Be a hero. Stay drug free!

Learning is in action in Mrs. Peoples’ second-grade classroom! Students explored What’s in the Egg, Little Pip?, practiced Cornell notes, created vocabulary mini-books, and wrote imaginative responses to The Great Snowstorm!

Through teamwork, creativity, and thoughtful discussions, our Bears are growing as readers and writers every day!

Learning today, leading tomorrow!

Every child deserves to get to and from school safely. As we recognize National School Bus Safety Week, remember you are an important part of the total safety awareness program for students who travel to and from school by bus — not just this week, but every day.
🚸 Observe these important safety tips:
👀 Watch for children near bus stops, along roadways and when crossing the street.
🛑 Stop when a school bus has its red lights flashing and stop arm extended.
📵 Stay focused and avoid distractions while driving.
🐢 Slow down in school zones and residential areas where children may be present.
