A REMINDER ABOUT PARKING ON JULY 1, 2026.

Parking for our July 1st Independence Day Celebration will look a little different this year, so here’s the plan to help everyone arrive smoothly.

Ferguson Memorial Park Parking will be reserved for vendors, Shinnston Community Band members, pool employees, and handicapped parking only.

All other traffic will continue out East Avenue, past North Street, toward Owings Road.

Parking will be in the field on the left before the intersection of East Avenue, Landing Way, and Owings Road.
This parking area is generously provided by Hursey Haunts Productions, LLC. There will be attendants directing traffic in the field.

At the back of the field, you’ll find a path that connects directly to East Pike Street, making it easy to walk straight into the park.

Please help us keep the area clean and leave the field as you found it.

Shinnston Fire Department would like to recognize Junior Firefighter Landry Handschumacher as the first junior member in department history to attend the West Virginia Junior Fire Academy.

We wish Landry the best of luck as he finishes the remainder of the academy and look forward to seeing what he brings back to the department from this experience.
