📢 INFORMATIONAL MEETING – FIRE DISTRICT TAX PROPOSITION
The Bunker Hill Fire Protection District and Shipman Firefighters Association / Shipman Fire Department will be hosting an informational meeting this Thursday (10/29) at 6:30 PM at the Shipman Fire Department to discuss the upcoming Fire District tax proposition.
This meeting is an opportunity for residents to learn more about the proposition, why it is needed, how it will affect the Fire District, and what the funds would be used for.
We want to be transparent with our community and give everyone an opportunity to ask questions and hear directly from the Fire District.

The Shipman Firefighters Association will be raffling a Dry-Bone E-bike this year for the our annual Squirrel Bowl raffle. Thought we would try something different this year for our raffle. This E-bike is SWEET….big Mountain tires, front basket, back rack, single speed gearing and twist throttle- great for the local hunting or simply an outdoor adventure. Tickets are $20 each/ only 400 printed!

We will take cash or Venmo!

On Tuesday evening, an active member of our department was involved in a serious incident. This individual has given many years of dedicated, selfless service to our community and our surrounding districts, always standing ready to help others in their time of need.
We kindly ask that you please keep him in your prayers for a full recovery, and pray for strength, peace, and comfort for his family, friends, and fellow first responders during this difficult time.

The Shipman Firefighters brought their trucks and knowledge to the Southwestern Primary School in Shipman this morning for Fire Prevention week. Students were given time to learn about fire safety, tour the fire engine and rescue truck and ask questions. Thank you Teachers and Administrators at Shipman Primary for allowing us to come visit!

🚒 Structure Fire Paul Meyer Rd.

Tonight around 6:30 PM, the Bunker Hill Fire Protection District was dispatched to Paul Meyer Rd. for a reported structure fire.
First-arriving crews quickly made an aggressive interior attack, locating and extinguishing the fire before it could cause significant damage. Due to the quick actions of the firefighters on scene, damage to the structure and its contents was minimal.
The incident occurred near the jurisdictional line between the Bunker Hill Fire Protection District and Prairie Fire District, with mutual-aid assistance provided by neighboring departments Prairietown Fire DepartmentHoliday Shores Fire DepartmentShipman Firefighters Association / Shipman Fire Department
